About K Hensler

"You don't have to read my books, but please read something."

Hi, my name is K Hensler (Kim). I am 43 yrs old and I live in Dickson, Tennessee on a small farm, the Full Circle Farm. My son, Christopher, who is perfect, lives with me as do my parents, Robert and Sonja Hensler. We love it here.
My father is a published author of genre fiction and my mother is a math professor. My son is the lead guitar player in his band and he's awesome. He's 18.
I am an equine enthusiast and have been riding for over 30 years. I am also an avid reader and love to write. I unfortunately did not inherit the math gene.

About the girls who created the wonderful illustrations for "WHY WORRY?": Montana, Janea, Amy Hafner and Katelynn Swaner

I put out the word in my hometown middle school asking for volunteers to draw for my book. I had four 12 year old girls, Montana, Janea, Amy, and Katelynn, volunteer and they did all of the illustrations for WHY WORRY?
Their pictures are amazing and are shown throughout this website.

The idea went over so well that I have opened up the invitation to anyone that is interested for the next book in the series, I'm Too Busy!

If you or someone you know, preferably a child, would like to draw for "I'm Too Busy!" please go to the Do You Like to Draw? page for more info and then fill out the contact information on the contact page. I'll send you a sheet of text to draw for and voila, you'll be a published illustrator.

About the Charities I support:

I donate a percentage of the proceeds from my books to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption. They take in off-track Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds, retrain them, and help them find forever homes.
I have adopted two horses from New Vocations, Cirrus Minor (Big-un) and Quick KD (KD). I love them both dearly and highly recommend New Vocations if you are looking for a new horse or just a worthy cause. www.horseadoption.com You can see Big-un and KD on the photos page of this site.
