My story GERM MAGNET focuses on a Microbiology professor, Dr. Josephine Dyer, or Jo. She discovered a new germ while in graduate school that in the wrong hands could destroy the entire population of our planet and now someone stole it. When we meet the professor she has been studying the germ and its unique properties for five years. She has made great progress and her research is almost complete when her lab is blown up and her work is stolen. She thinks all is lost when in walks the handsome, new Fire Inspector of Northern Falls. After taking one look at Jo, he’s smitten. He vows to find out who’s behind the theft and to return her research, safe and sound. Sam insists on working with him and he soon realizes that he has no choice.
The two of them set out on a mission that they’ll never forget. Together, with the help of some friends, they must survive car bombs, grifters, gunfire, landmines, arm’s dealers, nudists, runaway carriages and more. Surprisingly, somehow in the end they triumph, Jo’s germs are recovered, new love is found, things are blown up, and they all have a new found respect for clothes.
