Tess Morgan is a successful, and beautiful, professor of entomology at Purdue University. She is 28 yrs old and has a job that most people in her field wait their entire lives for. Everything seems to be going her way when suddenly her life takes a turn for the worse.
Tess receives a phone call informing her that her Uncle, the world renowned medical entomologist, and the creator of the incredible “Miracle Serum”, is in the hospital and won’t live out the week. Tess rushes home to see him and gets there just in time to say good bye. As if this isn’t bad enough she has to see her ex-boyfriend Pete Hoffman, for the first time since she left her hometown for Purdue, four years ago.
Tess and Pete had a tumultuous break up when Tess was offered the job at Purdue that Pete had been vying for. Tess tried to explain that she didn’t apply for the job, but Pete’s ego was so bruised that he wouldn’t listen. Tess decided to give him some time. He cheated. Tess accidentally caught him and they haven’t talked since.
When her Uncle’s lab and his house are ransacked and the company that funded his “Miracle Serum” is accusing him of murder Tess is forced to solicit the help of Pete, who is also her Uncle’s friend, to help her solve the serum mystery and prove her Uncle’s innocence. Together, along with the Professor’s team of graduate students, they are subjected to mudslides, shoot outs, traitors, prison breaks and each other, all the while rushing against the clock as the “Miracle Serum’s” death toll rises. If you find this interesting and want to know the rest of the story, you will have to read, KILLER BUZZ.
Here is what some of the first reviewers of KILLER BUZZ had to say...
"I finished KILLER BUZZ and found it to be very enjoyable. The storyline had good twists and turns. It was a good read and I wanted to continue to find out what happened. Keep writing as you definitely have the ability. I am interested in your children's book, Why Worry, to use at school when it is available."
